About

Women, humanity and an untamed spirit have been the driving force of Michelle DeCourcy’s 20-year career. A girl-turned-fashion designer, Michelle has always played by her own rules. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon she was intrigued by the connection of music and personal style from an early age, and spent her youth dressing up, hosting and starring in self-produced concerts for family and friends.

Inspired by the work of female musicians, she began designing for them in theory first, which led her to selling wares from her home, and eventually her Portland concept stores, and wholesale accounts throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.  Michelle DeCourcy, pioneered Celebrity Fashion Design in Portland, when Norah Jones wore her little black dress to the 45th Grammy Awards in 2003 where she won five of her eight nominations. For over 15 years, DeCourcy has been a highly sought-after designer and collaborator with women including Jennifer Anniston, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Allison Krauss, Cheryl Strayed, Storm Large and Shirley Manson.

Always seeking the next challenge, DeCourcy formed her band The Rocktarts in 2013.  They released their debut album in 2016 and are working on the follow up due out in 2019.  Michelle’s greatest dream is that she’ll live long enough to accomplish everything she was sent here to do.  So far the Universe is cooperating.
