Dear Friends,

When I decided to take a break from my work in the spring of 2008, I knew that it would by no means be forever. I surprised myself at how much this single decision continues to affect my creative life. It's funny that when you complete one chapter of your life how it allows you to "finish" a part of yourself and draw very definitive conclusions like how the next chapter will begin and end. How an artist's single decision to protect her creativity almost formalizes the creative process allowing room for so much growth that at times you're a mystery to yourself. How the push to create can become exhausting and exhilarating inside the same minute.

The decision to create La Vie came effortlessly and its perspective a natural extension of my life; it's the song that best represents me. And I think that if you look and listen you'll understand what I mean.
